Question about vitamins and hair growth?
im trying to get my hair to be healthier. I just got a trim and I’m using deep conditioning treatments and oil. I’m also taking 2500mcg of biotin a day. I was wondering if I should even take a multi vitamin too. I intend to or not straighting blowdrying my hair for a month. Do you think the result will be in a month?
A month? probably not. As only the new hair growing will be effected by the vitamins and since hair grows slow it may take a little bit. Biotin is usually water soluble so excess is excreted. If you want to take a multivitamin you can as well just make sure its water soluble too. Um and as for not straightening or blow drying for a month….it may not change in that aspect. take care of ur hair as much as u can to avoid future heat damage however that past heat damage cannot be fixed. it can probably feel better but not excellent if ur hair is extremely damaged. And if you really wanna help it stop the heat styling all together not just for a month. Because your length is older then the roots it still has all that passed heat damage on it and straightening it a month later is still heat on damaged hair. <3
You should definitely see an improvement. Eat well, including fish and nuts in your diet. There’s really not a need to take a multivitamin, and studies have shown that they don’t really do much at all. If anything, I’d recommend the Hair, Skin & Nails vitamin you can just get at Walgreens for $13. It’s awesome! (It includes the biotin as well, so maybe you should grab that when you run out of the straight Biotin.) Good luck 🙂
